What is the biggest baseball event?

The MLB World Series is the biggest baseball event in the world. The annual championship series hosts the top team from the American League and the National League. The first World Series was held in 1903 in Boston, MA.

Find the right baseball events to attend

To decide which camp, clinic, combine, or showcase is right for you, consider all these factors: your age, skill level, experience, and goals. For example, attending exposure-focused events before the summer after your sophomore year doesn't make sense since college coaches won’t be able to talk to you there.

Below, we break down when and why athletes typically attend each type of event.  (Picture)

Camps (when to attend)

  • Underclassmen: Attend for skill development.
  • Juniors: Attend summer camps for exposure to college coaches you’re already talking to and to explore campus.
  • Seniors: Attend winter camps (if unsigned) for last-chance roster opportunities.

Clinics (when to attend)

  • Athletes are encouraged to attend clinics at any point in the recruiting process to improve their skills.

Combines (when to attend)

  • Underclassmen: Attend to get verified stats to add to your Prospect On-Deck recruiting profile.
  • Juniors: Attend to get verified stats to add to your Prospect On-Deck recruiting profile.
  • Seniors: Combines provided very little value to seniors.

Showcases (when to attend)

  • Underclassmen: Attend showcases to experience and get familiar with the format.
  • Juniors: Attend to get exposure to college coaches you’re already talking to.
  • Seniors: Attend for last-chance roster opportunities.
